It speaks to young people in exactly the way they need to hear. As a father of a teen and a pre-teen, both with some level of emotional distress, I immediately passed this one on to both of them. At its heart, this is a book about broken teens putting themselves back together. Both of my daughters have loved it, and they both found it very meaningful in their own journeys as human beings. I love the characters, the dialogue, and the relationships. I'm so impressed with the way the author tells such a thrilling story, while providing so much to think about. I really couldn't put it down. I can't wait for the next in the series!

David Valdes Greenwood does not disappoint with this book! I've been looking for a new book series to fill my Twilight/Hunger Games void and here it is! The characters are so well-developed and thought out. The story line was simply amazing! I need book 2 now! Like right now! I can't wait! Trust me when I say, this book is amazing!
David Valdes Greenwood has a sure-footed, engaging narrative voice that leads us through a complex supernatural tale full of suspense and emotion. I really cared for Ama, Mark and Justin and enjoyed watching them form a close-knit friendship. And I ached for them as they tried to overcome their tragic memories while embarking on their morally ambivalent quest for justice. If you enjoy a riveting plot, lots of historical detail about Salem witchcraft and a strong taste of the supernatural--don't wait to get your hands on this book!
I received this book at a confe.rence from the publisher. Revengers is dark and hopeful. When its 3 main characters meet and realize they've all been experiencing the same nightmares for years and that they are all connected supernaturally, the feeling of the book is eerie and creepy. When they are tasked with taking revenge on those who have murdered innocents, it almost feels like vigilante justice is being served. But as the story unfolds, the darkness diffuses, and the reader realizes how revenge simply reinforces the cycle of anger, pain, and tragedy. Even though the Revengers' tasks are presented as something they cannot escape, at the end the reader feels hopeful that one of the characters will break the cycle.I thought this was a fantastic book with a deep message. I loved the omniscient POV, because it challenged me to be in every characters' head and to really get to know each character.
